Blood Pressure To High

If our bodies are to function properly then one important thing to remember is our blood pressure. Stroke or Heart Attack are the risk factors associated with high blood pressure. Get it chacked once or twice a year to keep your mind at rest and more often if you that any of your family have ever had blood pressure that was high.

Blood pressure is the force of the blood against our arteries when our hearts beat. So when the heart beats it pumps blood around the arteries in our bodies and this is when the blood pressure is at its highest which is our systolic pressure and then between beats the heart rests momentarily and the blood pressure is lower this is our diastolic pressure.

There are two numbers that make up your blood pressure reading and a normal blood pressure reading for an average healthy adult would be 120/80 this is spoken as 120 over 80. The 120 is you higher systolic pressure and the 80 is your lower diastolic pressure. Any higher result than this and your blood pressure would be desrcibed by your Doctor as high.

So if your blood pressure was 140/90 then your doctor would class that as high blood pressure and would investigate why it could be reading high. So you would be advised to possibly make some changes in your lifestyle to bring your blood pressure down. The Doctor would probably want to see you again for another reading the following week.

If you have room in your lifestyle forsome good healthy changes then this is what your Doctor will target with you first if you continue to get higher than normal BP readings. It would be wizse at this point to think about these changes seriously.

If you smoke or drink more than the advised units of alcohol or if you are over weight then this can be a cause for you blood pressure to be high, but there are other things that can cause high blood pressure. You may have wondered if smoking and cellulite go hand in hand. Smoking is one of the most frowned-upon but amongst the most widely-practiced of bad habits. The habit slowly destroys your lungs and leaves you at greater risk for lung cancer, throat cancer, and mouth cancer. And while smoking causes problems with organs, it also deteriorates the quality of your skin.

Cigarette smoke contains various toxic chemicals - among them, cyanide, benzene, formaldehyde, methanol, acetylene (the fuel used in welding torches), and ammonia. Each of the chemicals are harmful to the body. Some of them are lethal if consumed in any other form, so its no surprise that these toxins can lead to skin problems including cellulite.

One of the ways smoking damages your skin is by affecting collagen. Collagen is the main structural protein of the skin. It helps keep the skin firm and taut. Collagen is also a component of everything from blood vessels to organs. Naturally as a person ages, the cells of the body gradually produces less collagen. Smoking accelerates the breakdown of collagen in the skin and in the body. Collagen breakdown starts at a younger age and a faster rate for regular smokers.

Smoking also affects the bodys production of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a compound produced in the body that adds fullness and tautness to the skin. The only upside to the effects of smoking and cellulite is that the effects of smoking are not seen for awhile. In fact, if you are a younger adult, many of the physical problems that come with smoking may actually be reversed by living a healthy lifestyle. However, the longer you wait, the more irreversible damage that will be done to your body.

Jump higher in basketball and win the game!

In sports, being stronger and doing things faster and higher are always good things that could most certainly secure a victory for you. After all, how many sports victories were won by the slowest, least capable participant? Basketball is one particular sport that requires a number of skills, but one of the skills that will give you an advantage over the other players is if you can jump higher than any of them. Remember how “His Airness” Michael Jordan would sail through the air and make a winning shot? Jumping higher in basketball guarantees that you can sink a basket that many other players would probably find impossible to do and maybe even win you the game.

Unfortunately, coaches don’t exactly teach you how to jump higher in basketball, which is why you should undertake some additional exercises to train yourself to jump higher. Jumping requires the use of your leg muscles, so increasing their strength and agility is your priority. When you teach yourself how to jump higher in basketball, always ensure that you don’t overdo it or you might risk getting an injury. Always start with the proper warmups exercises to condition your muscles for the entire set of workouts for your legs.

Some exercises can help tone you up and make you jump higher. Doing a series of squats can help strengthen your legs and help make sure that you can carry your body weight in your legs when you push yourself down and propel your body upward when you jump. Jumping exercises are a staple of any basketball training session; all you need to do is to crouch or squat down then launch yourself into a vertical jump. Various jumping rope exercises can also increase your legs’ muscle power, as these can develop your calf muscles.

There is also a set of exercises called plyometrics that you can do. Plyometrics involves movements performed in a rapid sequence to ensure that the muscles of the body lengthen and contract as quickly as possible; one of the main goals of plyometrics is to enable a person to jump higher. Keep in mind, however, that plyometrics is best performed by athletes in good physical condition while under supervision.

These are just some of the exercises you can do in order to jump higher in basketball–or in any sport, for that matter. Remember to pace yourself when doing the exercises and don’t expect to see results in a flash. Try to ask your coach or trainer to develop a training program that can improve your leg muscle strength and help you jump higher.

Is there in truth an associatin between childhood obesity and fast food? The response will vary depending upon whom you involve in the question. Apparently the fast food industry would like to deny such a connection. But parents had best consider the facts. Obesity is not merely a problem of how a youngster looks. It also means many dangerous and even fatal health conditions. Being heavy is linked to asthma, arthritis, joint damage, heard disease, diabetes, many, gout, sleep apnea, respiratory distress, and chronic pain. So, thinking about whether or not childhood obesity and fast food are related can mean saving a child’s health. Let’s look at this matter a bit closer.

One reason to believe that there’s a link between childhood obesity and fast food is that obesity is a modern problem. Doctors have never observed as many cases of it in the past as they do now. It seems as if it’s no happenstance that we also have more fast food restaurants now than ever before! These restaurants are on just about every street corner in the U.S. They are even inside of many other businesses such as retail stores, libraries, office buildings, and even schools. But the number of restaurants and the number of cases of children being overweight does not itself prove that there’s a connection between childhood obesity and fast food.

Most average sized hamburgers have about 500 or more calories. Compare that to a turkey sandwich made of wheat bread which might have around 200 calories. And, of course, along with the hamburger comes fries and a soda, and maybe even a milkshake or dessert.

The connection between childhood obesity and fast food becomes obvious when you think about how frequently children eat these kinds of meals. Just one fast food meal can comprise a full day’s worth of calories. A youngster that eats these meals several times per week or more than one per day can mean they’re virtually eating thousands of extra calories per week.

The number of calories that a person will typically consume at a fast food restaurant is an obvious connection between childhood obesity and fast food. If a child is active enough to burn the extra calories it might not be a problem. But a lot of children nowdays live very sedentary lives, sitting in front of the television screen during their spare time instead of than being outside playing. While the connection between childhood obesity and fast food is obvious, the food isn’t the only perpetrator or cause to the problem. A parent had best get their child up and active in order to preserve his or her health.
